Kelly, yes the weather put a damper on the home opener, we probably won't make up those games with Seattle. I had to keep my head up, otherwise I would have had to be shoveled out! (ha!) Oh, did i mention that my back just stopped aching (wednesday).
het: see, there is always someone who will envy english weather; here I am. Enjoy the sunshine.
daughter: yeah, ditto that envy thing for Chi-town weather. Who knew? Actually, it is not all that unusual for us to get hit with snow in April, but come on! I shoveled out like I had to valentines day. Unreal. We can expect rain for the rest of the week. Beautiful.
r.d., I am actually not so far gone that I fail to see the humor. But I would have chased you back to Chicago with my shovel if you'd have said it Sunday.(wink) It wasn't funny then, but I am better now.
I broke the cardinal snow rule. I left the foot of snow on the roof of my car when I drove to work the other night. I figured my speeding would take care of it. I was right, and I actually got a kick out of watching it slide off the back and crash. The other drivers, not so much. Oh well, it was late and traffic was light (te-e-hee-hee). What else was I going to do for fun?
Wait a minute, you did the roof thing?! Feeling lazy are we?... I actually don't blame you, enough is enough and that last snow probably just pushed you over the edge. It'll melt this weekend- hopefully.
I think the Indians starting 9 are under there! =:0
